Folklorico- A Blend of Cultures and Traditions

Folklorico is a vibrant and captivating traditional Mexican dance form that celebrates cultural heritage through rhythm, color, and storytelling. At Christine Duncan Heritage Academy, we introduced our Ballet Folklorico program, Ballet Folklorico Los Zorros, in 2023, offering students the opportunity to explore this rich art form while developing grace, discipline, and a deeper connection to their roots. Now, as we move into the 2024-2025 school year, we are excited to partner with the Rio Grande Educational Collaborative to expand this program, ensuring even more students can experience and thrive in the world of Folklorico dance. This collaboration will continue to inspire pride, creativity, and a sense of community among all participants.
